In today’s digital age, losing access to your social media account is like losing your voice — especially when that platform is your daily space for connection, content, and communication. This is exactly what happened to Rushi Naznin, also known as @rushinaznin, whose Facebook account was suddenly disabled without warning.
It all started one morning when Facebook prompted Rushi to verify her identity through a video selfie. This feature, introduced by Meta as a security measure, asks users to record their face to confirm authenticity. Rushi followed all instructions carefully and submitted the verification video within minutes.
But instead of regaining access, her account was locked — and then fully disabled.
That was over a month ago.
Since then, Rushi has received no response from Facebook. No update on her appeal. No confirmation on whether her identity verification was accepted or rejected. Just silence.
She’s attempted everything — filing multiple appeals, checking help pages, reading policy documents — but still no progress. Her memories, photos, messages, and connections built over years have all been left in limbo.
This experience has not only been frustrating, but deeply discouraging.
“I followed the instructions exactly as asked. I submitted my video selfie. Still, I got no reply. My account is a part of who I am, and I don’t even know what I did wrong,” said Rushi.
Unfortunately, her experience isn’t unique. Many users worldwide are facing the same issue — being asked for video verification, complying, and then getting disabled without any human review or resolution.
